Emotional Neglect

I’m not sure deep lasting happiness can happen without an invested look within ones darkest spaces. Without sitting with, validating, and holding space for our deepest pain, it will continue to scream at us for attention behind self made walls of distraction. Feeling pain and expressing it is not a call for help. It is a warrior who can face this darkness, for if it were easy why wouldn’t more of us do it? Expressing our sorrow gives validation to our pain, just as expressing our joy. There are no bad emotions. Only neglected ones. ❤️🙏🏻
